In Focus: Dimapur United

With the introduction of Nagaland Premier League (NPL), the Nagaland State official football league; the Dimapur United Football Club (DUFC) was formed and registered under the Dimapur District Football Association on 28th of November 2011.

The Hornbill feathers - which is traditionally used in every culture of Naga tribes - at the sides of the logo means that the club is a representation of Nagas from all sides.

The football inside a circle indicates the love, importance and protection we have for the sport.

Blue is the color of sea and sky which signify trust and loyalty, the blue ring encircling the ball means the unbroken trust and loyalty we have to football.

Yellow represents sunlight and is associated with joy and intellect. The yellow color base for the club's name in the Logo denotes the energetic nature of the club, our joy and love for football.




Dimapur United FC has been in stellar form winning all their matches so far, they have beaten Sangpang FC and Doyang FC by a solitary goal each. In their last match, they scored 5 goals against a helpless New Market team, including a hat-trick by Amir (10). Their next match will be a visit to Kohima where they will face Kohima Komets FC on the 31st of March as they try to maintain their winning streak to make it 4 wins out of 4 matches.
